An attempt to fully design an exotic supercar complete with a functioning Big Block V8 to drive the rear wheels. This project is currently in the modelling phase, when it comes to creating the functionality the C# Wrapper for Nvidia's PhysX engine may be used. Blender 3D's animations will be used to create a prototype of the moving parts.

Pictured here is the main car body mesh as it stands; the jagged mesh above the wheel arch is a problem caused when Blender 3D converts Quads to Triangles.

Pictured here is the inside of the door; the lock mechanizm has been produced at an angle to allow the doors to open and close vertically without colliding with the car body mesh during this operation.

By designing each component seperately it enables the ease of movable or even detatchable parts on the model. It also makes for the possibility of alternate parts.

Note the use of different materials; although rendered in Blender 3D, the intention is to export these materials with the .fbx model so that they may be used in the XNA environment.

The pictured gear stick displays the selected gear as a lit font within the gear knob. Code will be used to determine the position of the stick and trigger gear change events as appropriate in order to enable this functionality.
